09/22/2003   Binghamton University Wins State Archives Award

ALBANY - The Board of Regents and the New York State Archives have selected Binghamton University to receive the 2003 Annual Archives Award for Excellence in State Agency Archival Program Development.

The award will be presented to Archivist Yvonne Deligato at a luncheon ceremony at the State Education Building in Albany on November 13, 2003.

Binghamton University was selected to receive this award to recognize the University's commitment to developing a vibrant and active archival program. The award also honors Ms. Deligato for her work in creating finding aids, prioritizing preservation needs, re-housing archival materials gathered from across the university, and engaging other SUNY schools in discussions about developing their archival collections.
