The Adirondack Museum Library is the largest, most comprehensive repository of books, periodicals, manuscripts, maps, and government documents relating to the history of the Adirondack region. The library's web catalog is currently under construction and only contains records produced before 1992. It also does not include the library's map or vertical file collections.

The online catalog contains summary descriptions of approximately 120 manuscript collections documenting almost all facets of life in the Adirondacks. To limit searching to material held by Special Collections, go to "Location" and choose "F>ODY Special Collections" and then enter title, subject, or other search criteria. Note: searches will retrieve books as well as manuscript collections.
