Lau files deal with the legal case regarding the rights of access to education for non-English speaking or bilingual Americans.

Included are papers documenting Beecher's career as a New York City school teacher and community coordinator for school district 12 in the Bronx. Also included are transcripts of interviews recorded in 1976-1977 with black political figures from Central Brooklyn.
