Summary:
The series consists of annual financial reports of urban renewal agencies generated pursuant to the General Municipal Law requiring that within sixty days after the close of the fiscal year, an agency submit an annual report of its financial condition to the state comptroller. Each report contains a statement of the financial transactions of the agency and lists its assets; liabilities, reserves and capital; receipts; and disbursements. Some of the reports contain letters of transmittal, printed brochures, and other memorandums.

Scope and Content Note

The series consists of the annual financial reports of urban renewal agencies generated pursuant to Article XV-A, Section 561-a of the General Municipal Law requiring that within sixty days after the close of the fiscal year an agency submit an annual report of its financial condition to the state comptroller.

Each report contains a statement of the financial transactions of the urban renewal agency and lists the assets; liabilities, reserves and capital; receipts; and disbursements of the agency. Some of the reports contain letters of transmittal, printed brochures, and other memoranda. There may also be small amounts of accompanying correspondence of the Bureau of Municipal Research and Statistics.
