Administrative History

The Temporary State Commission on Rental Housing was established by Chapter 203, Laws of 1977 to study the supply, condition, cost, and demand for rental housing in New York City and elsewhere in the state, as well as the laws and regulations governing rental housing.

The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
