Administrative History
The Office of Education Performance Review was established by Chapter 50 of the Laws of 1973 to evaluate the finance and management of public education in New York. Its director was Daniel Klepak, and reports generated by the office became known as "Klepak Reports."
Scope and Content Note
This series consists of reports issued by the Office of Education Performance Review, which were received and filed by the Education Unit of the Division of the Budget. The reports deal with vocational education, school district finance, driver education, counseling services, teacher absenteeism in New York City, the effectiveness of school district administration, and other subjects.
