Administrative History
The School Finance Law Study was funded by a grant to the Regents by the U.S. government, under provisions of U.S.P.L. 93-380, Title 8, Section 842, the Education Amendments of 1974. The aim of the project was to consolidate and simplify the many overlapping school aids established at various times by the Legislature. Project staff members were to develop a database on school finance as the grounds for their recommendations.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
