Administrative History
The Public Authorities Control Board was established in 1976. It regulates financing, bonding, property acquisition, and construction projects of major public authorities. It approves all acquisitions, financing, and construction projects for the authorities, and also approves funding for all public authorities other than the Thruway Authority and the Municipal Assistance Corporation.
The New York State Archives is part of the Office of Cultural Education, an office of the New York State Education Department.
