Administrative History
The Program Review Unit monitors local substance abuse programs and reviews facilities' applications for operating certificates. Staff at all levels use the information to answer questions from the public, plan inspections, issue or revoke operating certificates, and to document facilities' compliance.
Scope and Content Note
The series consists of draft and final program review reports, correspondence, and a variety of other program materials maintained by the Program Review Unit of the Division of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services on facilities providing substance abuse services. The files contain information about the operation and certification of certified, noncertified, and closed alcoholism facilities, alcoholism outpatient facilities, and community residences operating in hospitals or as regional or county programs.
Program materials found in the series typically include copies of leases or rental agreements, fiscal summaries, budgets for demonstration projects, personnel lists, and statements of operating policies and procedures used at the facility.
