Administrative History

The Bureau of Stationary Sources (formerly Bureau of Application Review and Permitting), a sub-division of the Division of Air Resources, coordinates all air permitting activities within the department, develops and modifies air quality regulations, and provides assistance to department regional offices and the public on permitting issues. The bureau also tracks and provides assistance on the application of state and federal standards and develops policy documents to assist in the administration of the department's air quality program. The bureau employs computer modeling, air monitoring, and risk assessment techniques as part of a comprehensive air toxics control program.
