Administrative History

The Division of Services and Community Development within the New York State Department of Social Services administered such programs as adoption, day care, foster care, child protection, domestic violence, adult protection, adolescent pregnancy, preventive services, homeless housing and assistance, employment services, blind and handicapped services (including the Commission for the Blind and Visually Handicapped), and refugee assistance.
