Administrative History
The Environmental Enforcement Unit ensures accurate interpretation and enforcement of statutes administered by the Adirondack Park Agency (APA); provides legal advice and assistance to the agency staff; enforces the APA Act, the Wild, Scenic and Recreational Rivers System Act, and the Freshwater Wetlands Act; assists APA staff in managing personnel, equipment, program development scheduling, and record keeping functions; and provides technical assistance and expertise to the Planning Operations Division.
Scope and Content Note
This series consists of complaints, correspondence, memoranda, project-related records, and other materials concerning the investigation and resolution of violations of statutes enforced by the Adirondack Park Agency (APA). The files are created and maintained by the Environmental Enforcement Unit.
