Scope and Content Note

These files document the division's review of projects for which other state agencies have final decision-making authority but which are reviewed by the Department of State for their consistency with the objectives of the State's Coastal Management Program and local waterfront revitalization plans. The files contain detailed information on the nature of each proposed project; its potential impact on the economy of the area in which the project will be located; as well as its impact on fish and wildlife species, agricultural lands, scenic resources, and water resources. A file may also contain information regarding how a project may affect recreational opportunities for the public, enhance public access to a specific site or area, and impact on actions taken to minimize damage to natural resources from flooding or erosion.
