The remarks were delivered at state and federal legislative hearings and at various other meetings and public events. Some examples include: Commissioner Lehman's testimony on behalf of the National Association of State Outdoor Liaison Officers before the United States Senate Sub-Committee on Parks (June 27, 1978); Commissioner Lehman's statement to members of the New York State Assembly concerning the impact of the Reagan administration's budget proposals on New York State (May 16, 1981); Commissioner Davidson's remarks at the New York State Recreation and Park Society Conference (April 19, 1994); and Commissioner Davidson's press conference concerning the future of New York State's parks system (March 1, 1994).
