Administrative History

Counsel's Office is responsible for furnishing legal advice and opinions to agency units, local governments and individual taxpayers regarding New York's tax statutes and regulations; researching and commenting on proposed legislation and regulations; and assisting the Department of Law in litigation involving tax and finance matters.
