This series includes copies of scripts from productions of the New York State Theatre Institute (NYSTI). The series contains
scripts from most of the productions that were performed, but it is not a truly complete set because former staff removed
various items and never returned them. These records are copies, not original scripts; ultimate disposition of the original
scripts is unknown. The series does not included scripts of plays that were submitted, but never produced.

Acquisition Information
These records were created by the New York State Theatre Institute, and were transferred to the custody of the State Education
Department when the institute was dissolved in April 2010. They were transferred to the State Archives in March 2013.
