This series consists of approximately one hundred original VHS and U-matic videocassettes containing interviews with the authors and set/costume designers of several plays performed by the New York State Theatre Institute (NYSTI). The series also includes videos pertaining to theater performance in general, NYSTI's activities, and other miscellaneous matters. These videos were generally used for instructional purposes as part of NYSTI's overall educational program.

Acquisition Information

These records were created by the New York State Theatre Institute, and were transferred to the custody of the State Education Department when the institute was dissolved in April 2010. They were transferred to the State Archives in March 2013.
