Scope and Content Note
These are small amounts of unrelated archival material from several sources. They were gathered and retained by the New York State Library but remained unprocessed prior to transfer to the State Archives as state government records.
Included are records of the centennial observance of the New York State School at Industry (held September-October 1949) with supplemental documents and publicity material incidental to observance activities; correspondence of the New York State Joint Legislative Committee on Winter Tourists (October-December 1956) regarding skiing, development of ski centers, and discussion statements on implications for the "forever wild" concept; and correspondence of the Senate Committee on Public Affairs of the City of New York and the Standing Committee (September 20, 1965-January 7, 1966) dealing with mass transit in New York City as affected by the proposed World Trade Center, operations of the Triborough Bridge Tunnel Authority, and the New York Port Authority.
