Scope and Content Note

These petitions submitted by localities, citizens, organizations, and businesses, request legislative action on topics such as women's suffrage; liquor licensing and prohibition; division of counties; banking practices; and manufacturing duties. Access to records is restricted due to extensive burn damage.

Processing Information

Preservation of this series is incomplete. Treated documents expanded into new boxes labeled 1-75. Remaining documents (11 manuscript boxes and 2 Paige boxes) remain untreated. Restoration of original order is pending preservation completion.

Records are extensively burned and fragile. Due to their extreme fragility and the lack of access tools, the records are closed.
