Alphabetical by name of agency.

Scope and Content Note

These files consist mainly of correspondence transmitting reports to the governor's office or acknowledging receipt of reports by the governor's office. A few files also include the reports themselves. Most files document New York State agencies' interactions with other government jurisdictions, including federal, state, and local. Some files include small amounts of correspondence and other materials relating to agency activities. A few files contain only these other materials and no transmittal or acknowledgement correspondence.

Agencies represented in the series are: Temporary Commission on Agriculture; Bridge Authority; Central New York Regional Market Authority; Interstate Civil Defense Compact (materials regarding civil defense legislation); Civil Service Commission (resolutions); New York State Crime Commission; Dormitory Authority; Commission on the Fiscal Affairs of State Government; Genesee Valley Regional Market Authority; Interstate Commission on the Delaware River Basin; Interstate Compact for the Supervision of Parolees and Probationers; Interstate Oil Compact Commission (correspondence regarding agreements to extend the compact, membership of states and individuals, and other matters); Interstate Sanitation Commission; Department of Labor, Division of Placement and Unemployment Insurance (two unrelated, miscellaneous items); Lake Champlain Bridge Commission; Lower Hudson Regional Market Authority; Division of Military and Naval Affairs (armory leases to the federal government, and correspondence regarding the Interstate Compact for Mutual Military Aid); New England Interstate Water Pollution Control Commission; Niagara Frontier Authority; Northeastern New York Water Authority; Ogdensburg Bridge Authority; Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission; Port of New York Authority; Thousand Island Bridge Authority; Triborough Bridge and Terminal Act; and Youth Commission.
