This is a list of "Pierce's Certificates" issued to New York State soldiers who fought in the Revolutionary War. The certificates may have been issued by a private individual or bank, or by the federal government to avoid cash payments at a time when money was scarce. The list shows voucher number; date; to whom issued; certificate number; principal; and date interest commences.
