Scope and Content Note
Typed minutes of hearing held April 4, 1911, by Commissioner John N. Carlisle.
An accompanying exhibit gives a list of formal proceedings or hearings of the Commission and a table of application before the Commission for approval of bond and stock issues, both for periods 1907-1911. Also included is a report dated May 31, 1911 to governor Dix of the findings of the commission. The Moreland Act of 1907 empowered the Governor to appoint special commissions to investigate the management and affairs of any state agency. The first district of the Public Service Commission included New York City.
