There is no indication of how this volume came to the comptroller's office, but presumably it had to do with collection of accounts due.

Processing Information

In 2014, it was determined that former series B1624, Canal toll collector's ledger, should have been accessioned as an accretion to this series rather than being its own series. This material was subsequently re-accessioned and became accretion A1080-99.
