Summary:
This series consists of vouchers and accounts submitted by the Auburn Prison agent to the Comptroller's Office. Each voucher lists date services or materials were provided, amount owed, name of payee, a receipt and the payee's affidavit that the amount is correct. Attached to the vouchers are original bills or invoices. Abstracts for each month list and total the enclosed vouchers.

Scope and Content Note

This series consists of vouchers and accounts submitted by the prison agent pursuant to Chap. 459, Laws of 1847. Each voucher in this series takes the form of an account with the agent and warden of Auburn Prison, giving the date when services or materials were provided, amount owed, name of payee, and his receipt. On the back of the voucher is the payee's affidavit that the amount is correct. Attached to the vouchers are original bills or invoices. Abstracts for each month list and total the enclosed vouchers.
