Summary:
This series from the Comptroller's Office consists of receipts, currency exchange ledgers, accounts of bills of credit, and cancelled lists of bundles of Continental money regarding the emission of currency by New York State. The receipts detail the cost of new printing plates, advertising costs, and cost of paper to print the new bills on. Scope and Content Note

This series consists of receipts, one currency exchange ledger, accounts of bills of credit, and cancelled lists of bundles of Continental money regarding the emission of currency by New York State.

The series includes receipts detailing the cost incurred in order to have new printing plates engraved, advertising costs proclaiming the issuance of a new currency and paper purchased to print the new bills on. There are also records providing information on the amount of new emissions exchange for older notes and lists of bundles of old Continental notes sold to Jonathan Wheeler.
