The rest of the book contains accounts of officially appointed auctioneers in the various counties, who were required to pay duties to the Comptroller according to value of goods sold. At end of the book is an account of payments on the Loan of 1786, during years of 1798-1800, arranged by county. Years covered by this ledger are 1798-1807.
A second ledger principally contains accounts with the loan commissioners in the various counties in the state for Loans of 1796, 1792, and 1808; and accounts with auctioneers for duties owed by them to the state, 1817-26. At beginning of the book there are undated lists of lots in the New Military Tract, giving township name, lot number, number of acres, purchaser's name and amount (folios 1 and 2 are missing); also miscellaneous audited accounts of the state with various individuals who provided special services to the state, 1796, including delegates to the Hartford Convention of 1786, support of aged or sick slaves, Benjamin Ellicott's survey and map of the Preemption Line, expenses of various Indian agents and commissioners, etc. Following this and preceding the main body of accounts are a few pages of certificates of receipt of arrears of quit rents, 1800-1801, signed by the Comptroller and the Treasurer. At end of volume are further miscellaneous accounts, including Hamilton College, Union College, Fairfield Medical College, the College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, a ferry from Hudson to Athens, etc.
