Scope and Content Note
This series is comprised solely of printed copies of monthly "Eliminations Bulletins" that were compiled by the Division and distributed to other countries and states that had film censorship boards.
The bulletins were distributed in order to inform other censorship boards of actions taken on films each month. Each bulletin lists the film title, applicant, and footage of films in one of three categories: licensed without eliminations; licensed with eliminations (including a description of the scene or a transcript of dialogue which was determined to be offensive); or rejected outright. There is also a listing of changed film titles, containing the old title, new title, and applicant's name.
In many cases, if a film was not made in the United States, the country of origin or its native language would be noted.
