Scope and Content Note

These volumes contain daily entries made by officers detailed to keep watch on traffic entering and leaving the ward during a watch. These reports were compiled by officers at the Matteawan facility and contain information on: officers on duty; time; patients placed on the suicidal observation list; visitors into the ward; patients visiting other wards; census counts of the ward; and the results of any searches that were conducted.
