This series consists of poll books of the various companies in a regiment. Each poll book contains the names of all eligible electors within each company. The books records the full name of the absent elector, residence (County, City and Street), and the command to which he is attached. The first page of the book contains the date and character of the election for which it was prepared, and the names and residences of the persons acting as the inspectors of election. The last page of the book contains a certificate signed by the inspectors stating how many electors voted at the election. Finally, the books also contain the oath for the inspectors of election. The books are arranged in bundles by regiment number and then alphabetically by company letter. Note: Although the term poll-book is used these are by no means volumes. They are papers that have been folded and then bundled together.
