Scope and Content Note
The dispensary record, tracking the health and medical treatment of inmates, was a source for the compilation of the physician's monthly and annual reports.
The volumes provide: inmate number; division (through January 2, 1931 only); inmate name; date admitted to dispensary; diagnosis/physical condition; treatment; name of doctor (rarely); occasional remarks, usually noting that the inmate is to see the doctor again or to see another doctor; and discharge date or other disposition (e.g. to isolation ward, to hospital).

Custodial History
The Department of Correction placed these records on loan to the Syracuse University Library from 1960-1977.
