Chronological by date of payroll period, then by trade or job (e.g. "stone cutters," "masons," "laborers"), then alphabetical by last name.
Scope and Content Note
This series consists of two bound volumes of press copies of bi-weekly payrolls for workers employed on the new State Capitol building construction project. Each entry in the payroll contains a worker's name, an identification number (possibly a voucher number), amount of wages paid, and the worker's signature. At the end of each two-week period is a recapitulation listing the total amount of wages for each page and the total for the two-week period.
