Reference copies of laws and regulations concern the Board of Charities and the institutions under its supervision.
The series contains: 1) printed copy of Chapter 585 of the Laws of 1927 amending the State Charities Law concerning: Board of Charities powers and duties regarding charitable institutions, powers and duties of boards of visitors of institutions, and powers and duties of institution superintendents; 2) "Rules for the Control of State Institutions in the Department of Charities," adopted by the Board of Charities on June 19, 1928 pursuant to legislation of that year, concerning: powers and duties of superintendents, admission of patients and inmates, and parole and discharge of inmates; and 3) "Revised By-Laws of the State Agricultural and Industrial School," 1932, concerning: powers and duties of the Board of Visitors and its officers; powers and duties of institution officers, powers and duties of the Board of Classification, classification of boys, parole of boys, and powers and duties of standing committees.
