The negatives and photographs show: machinery and vehicles used to construct or resurface roads; road work in progress; roads damaged by floods or in various states of disrepair; roads after improvements have been made; roads with various surfaces (macadam, concrete); new or experimental road signs; railroad crossings and underpasses; and scenes of automobile accidents.
