Administrative History

This series relates to the Department of Agriculture and Markets activities under the responsibility of the New York State Interdepartmental Committee on Farm and Food Processing.

Scope and Content Note

Applications for individual services are requests for public assistance to children of migrant laborers for day care and educational services to enable the parents to work in the fields.

The forms list: name of day care facility desired; name, address, social security number, date of birth, and sex of children seeking services; name of caretaker relative; whether applicants have applied for or received public assistance before; average family net weekly income; whether family is receiving any other services; and basis of eligibility of applicant.

The names and addresses of persons applying for or receiving public assistance and care are permanently restricted in accordance with Social Services Law, Section 136. Records not containing names or addresses of persons applying for or receiving public assistance and care are made available as permitted by the Freedom of Information Law.
