Administrative History
Abbot Low Moffat was an assemblyman from New York City (15th District) from 1929 to 1943. From 1938 to 1939, he served as the Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee.
Scope and Content Note
This series contains a small part of his file (all the folders bear the heading "Authorities") concerning primarily the development of bridge and highway authorities. The records detail development of resorts and transportation projects, including the Triborough Bridge, the Marine Parkway, the Port of New York, Saratoga Springs, and the St. Lawrence Seaway.
