Series A4694 has been superseded for all practical purposes by Mix, David E.E. "Catalogue of Maps and Surveys in the Office of the Secretary of State, State Engineer and Surveyor, and Comptroller and the State Library" (Albany: 1859).

Microfilm is available at the New York State Archives. Microfilmed in 1973 at the Department of State by the Genealogical Society of Utah, microfilm reel 946428. Cataloged by the GSU as part of a collection called "Field Books, New York, 1701-1848."

Custodial History

Microfilm copy was accessioned as a result of work by Archives staff in October 1999 to integrate or accession estrayed or unidentified records. The paper volume that comprises this series was originally accessioned as part of Series A0452, Dept. of State Field Books. It was united with the microfilm copy as part of Series A4694 in 2013.
