Summary:

This series consists of statements of campaign receipts and payments submitted by the treasurer or agents of political committees in connection with primary elections held in New York counties. Statements include the amount received, name of person or committee from whom the donation was received, receipt date, expenditures, disbursements, person or committee to whom money was disbursed, and payment amount. Also noted is the name of the political party; county, and chair or treasurer of the committee submitting the statement.

Scope and Content Note

This series contains statements of campaign receipts and payments submitted to the secretary of state's office by the treasurer or agents of political committees in connection with primary elections held throughout various New York counties. The statements include the amount received, name of person or committee from whom the donation was received, date of receipt, amount of every expenditure or disbursement, name of person or committee to whom money was disbursed and the amount of the payment.

Each statement also provides the name of the political party, county and the name of the chairman or treasurer of the committee submitting the statement. The statements were submitted pursuant to sections 541 and 546 of the Election Law (L. 1909, Ch. 27; Consolidated Laws of 1909, Ch. 17), which stipulated that the treasurer of any political committee connected with an election shall file within twenty days after the election statements setting forth all the receipts, expenditures, disbursements and liabilities of the committee.
