Expenses are for: printers' bills paid for newspaper advertisements of public land sales, 1844-1871, providing date, name of newspaper, land to be sold, length of time advertisement ran, and amount paid; printing and binding for other than advertising, 1844-1847, providing date, to whom paid, work done, and cost; surveying and appraising land, 1845-1848, providing date, to whom paid, work done, and amount paid; employment of clerks, 1848-1849, providing date, name of clerk, dates employed, and amount of certificate of payment; and postage, 1839-1846, providing date, destination of letter, and amount paid.
