This commission was created under chapter 122 of the laws of 1863 in order to research and implement improvements to the Hudson River between Troy and New Baltimore. They conducted their work under the New York State Engineer and Surveyor.
Scope and Content Note
This series contains proceedings, financial statements, and correspondence from the Board of Commissioners appointed by Chapter 122 of the laws of 1863 for the improvement of the Hudson River between Troy and New Baltimore. Also included are copies of various other legislative acts related to the improvement of the Hudson River; financial statements; and copies of correspondence.
