Scope and Content Note
These volumes contain transcribed or press copies of outgoing letters of the Attorney General and his Deputy. Many of the letters are actually legal opinions, though only a few are numbered and designated as such. The letters concern all aspects of state government, including lands, prisons, canals, elections, court actions brought by the people, and operations of the Attorney General's office.
