Scope and Content Note
This volume contains summaries of proceedings in corporation cases. Most are quo warranto cases, in which public officials or corporations were sued for exceeding their legal mandates; actions to amend or annul corporation charters or grants of land by letters patent; and actions to dissolve corporations. For each case the register states the title of the cause; names of attorneys for plaintiff and defendant; nature of proposed action; initials of person in charge of the case in the Attorney General's office; date of receipt of the initial complaint, petition or other papers; name of hearing officer and date of hearing; whether the application was granted, dismissed, or denied; and whether an Attorney General's opinion was prepared. Sometimes there are further remarks on a case.
