Scope and Content Note
These returns list parcels owned by non-residents who had not paid their taxes. Their property was subsequently sold in the tax sales of 1852, 1853, and 1854.
Each entry on a list states the parcel location, lot number, acreage, assessed value, and amount of tax due. Each list includes the town tax collector's affidavit that the taxes remain unpaid.
