Scope and Content Note
Each entry in the volume gives the name of the decedent, the decedent's date of death, the name of the executor or administrator, his past office address, the value of the estate (real and personal), the tax rate (an unexplained letter code), and the date of the estate appraiser's report. The register coincides with a census year (1900), and may be useful in identifying wealthy decedents whose estates were large enough to pay the property transfer tax.
