Scope and Content Note

Correspondence concerns grant administration, program scope, and various service delivery problems, and contains applications submitted by hospital rehabilitation centers for designation as state primary and secondary rehabilitation centers. Minutes note discussions of contracts, personnel changes, and projects. Discussions of projects are not extensive. Both types of records document at length the 1969 demise of the NYCRIRC. Minutes represent the following committees: New York State Interdepartmental Health and Hospital Council, Committee on Rehabilitation Regional Rehabilitation Coordinators; NYCRIRC; NYCRIRC Center Rehabilitation Coordinators, later Center Directors and Rehabilitation Coordinators; Council of Rehabilitation Medicine Coordinators of New York City (independent); and Council on Rehabilitation Medicine in New York City (independent).

Records include minutes of NYCRIRC committee meetings (1964-1970); minutes of meetings of center directors and rehabilitation coordinators (1968-1969); meeting minutes of the Council of Rehabilitation Medicine Coordinators of New York City (1969-1970); meeting minutes of the Council on Rehabilitation Medicine in New York City (1970); meeting minutes of the Committee on Rehabilitation Regional Rehabilitation Coordinators (1965-1967); and correspondence of the coordinator (1964-1970).
