Scope and Content Note
This series consists of a daily journal that summarizes activity at Westfield and Bedford for the years 1960 to 1964 and for 1972. There is no indication if the journal relates specifically to either Westfield's Reformatory Division or Prison Division. For each day, the journal contains one or two pages of handwritten notes summarizing officer duty and inmate activity at various times during the day.
The notes include: names of officers at specific stations or absent; number of meals served; names of inmates sick; number of inmates at special activities or classes; names of visitors; and summary of disciplinary action taken.
