Scope and Content Note
This series consists of bound volumes containing summary information taken from applications for employment at Utica State Hospital. Information is given in columnar form for each applicant and includes spaces for date of application; name of applicant; age; height; weight; civil condition; degree of education; previous occupation; state or country of birth; town of residence; persons giving recommendations (usually blank); position examined for; person examining; civil service rating; date of appointment; and remarks. Remarks (when given) typically give dates and reasons for resignations or reasons employment was not accepted.
