Scope and Content Note

This series consists of reports to the Board of Regents from the New York City Board of Education recommending amendment of its by-laws with reference to salaries of principals of parental schools; salaries of teachers and substitutes of industrial subjects in trade schools for girls; and salaries of principals of junior high schools and schools for the deaf and crippled. Also included is one printed copy of minutes of a special meeting of the board (February 5, 1929).

Custodial History

The records are a remnant of a much larger series, none of which survives. The documents were filed with the Education Department on March 5, 1931. This accession resulted from a project undertaken by Archives staff in 1997 to accession or reintegrate estrayed or unidentified records.
