Administrative History
Chapter 913 of the Laws of 1985 amended the Mental Hygiene Law to consolidate the Utica Psychiatric Center and the Marcy Psychiatric Center into one facility to be known as the Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center. The members of the board of visitors were reduced to the number required by the mental hygiene law as the terms of office of the board members expired.
Scope and Content Note
This series consists of a sign-in register for the Board of Managers (later Board of Visitors) of Marcy State Hospital (later Marcy Psychiatric Center). Each entry typically records only date and signature of each manager. Purpose or occasion of visit is rarely given.

These records were transferred to the State Archives on May 28, 1997 from Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center under RDA 19266.
