The series consists of audio-visual material (produced by grantees) that document a variety of events and activities related
to the Council on the Arts. The audio tapes contain poetry readings; interviews; public service announcements; speeches; panel
discussions; and radio programs. Some video tapes were created as television programs or intended as artistic works; others
contain material similar to the audio tapes, as well as documentation of visual arts programs and craft demonstrations sponsored
by the Council.

to the Council on the Arts. The audio tapes contain poetry readings; interviews; public service announcements; speeches; panel
discussions; and radio programs. Some video tapes were created as television programs or intended as artistic works; others
contain material similar to the audio tapes, as well as documentation of visual arts programs and craft demonstrations sponsored
by the Council.
Media found in the series includes audio cassettes and reel-to-reel tapes of various sizes; u-matic and helical scan video
tapes; one 45 rpm phonograph recording; and one audioscan filmstrip/audio recording. Technical information related to recording
processes is sometimes supplied.
