Scope and Content Note
This series consists of annual reports produced by the New York State Revolution Bicentennial Commission in connection with its efforts to promote bicentennial celebrations of the state's role in the American Revolution and the creation of the state's first constitution. Each report contains a salutation to the governor (to whom the report is addressed), a list of commission members, and a copy of the commission's enabling legislation.
Reports also typically include photographs of commission meetings, commission sponsored activities or publications, and historic sites, as well as brief accounts of commission sponsored events, recently released commission publications, staff changes, financial information, and future activities and events anticipated by the commission.
Also included in the records are a few photographs used for reproduction, and memoranda concerning production of the reports.
